








Gaming Laboratories Australia was established in Adelaide
in February 1994 under a licence agreement with Gaming Laboratories
International (GLI) in the United States. Services were provided
to the Office of the Liquor and Gaming Commissioner in gaming
equipment and control monitoring system testing for the South
Australian market.
In July 1994 Gaming Laboratories Australia received accreditation
from the New Zealand Casino Control Authority to provide testing
services for game software/hardware in the New Zealand Casino
market.
In November 1994 Gaming Laboratories Australia was approved
by the National Gaming Board of Papua New Guinea for the provision
of gaming machine testing services.
In January 1995 Gaming Laboratories Australia was appointed
by the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs as an approved
testing body for gaming equipment in New Zealand Hotels and
Clubs.
In November 1995 Gaming Laboratories Australia was Appointed
by the Northern Territory Racing and Gaming Authority to conduct
technical evaluation of electronic gaming equipment for use
in NT casinos, licensed clubs and hotels.
In February 1998 Gaming Laboratories Australia established
a second office and fully equipped laboratory in Sydney to
service gaming machine manufacturers, operators and regulators
in New South Wales.
In July 1999 Gaming Laboratories Australia received interim
accreditation from the Liquor Administration Board in New
South Wales as an approved testing facility for all classes
of gaming equipment.
In April 2000 Gaming Laboratories Australia received accreditation
from the Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority as an approved
testing facility for the evaluation of gaming machines and
in-house jackpot controllers in the Victorian market.
In May 2000 Gaming Laboratories Australia was appointed as
an accredited testing facility in Victoria for all computerised
gambling (gaming, wagering and lottery) systems.
In June 2000 Gaming Laboratories Australia was accredited
to test gaming equipment and associated devices in Tasmanian
hotels, clubs and casinos.
In January 2002 Gaming Laboratories Australia established and
introduced its web-access site for its clients at http://www.focus.gli.com.au
